Fall Fashion Trends on a Budget

Fall is almost here (I'm not ready for the cold just yet :) and there are so many Fashion Trends that are currently available for the fall like the Mod look, Animal Prints, Mid Century wear, Plaids and Prints, Punk Rock, Menswear Look, Leather/Faux leather, Fur/Faux fur, Pastel outerwear and much, much more.

Another new trend you will see this Fall is women's pajamas emerging from Sleepwear to Daywear.  Designers have managed to weave a masculine style with a feminine look into our sleepwear collection allowing you to now wear it as Daywear.

Budget Tip:
Although you may want to keep up with today's fashion and stay trendy, it's always good to keep
a few staple pieces in your closet.  I am a firm believer that all you have to do is mix and match your  trendy pieces with those classic pieces in your closet to help build an updated wardrobe.  By doing this, you've actually found another smart way to budget because you'll have no need to shop year round for trendy items since they tend to change from season to season.

I thought it would be good to give you a list of some staple pieces to have in your closet and list how you can stay trendy:

1. The Little Black Dress - Just add those trendy accessories.
2. Pencil Skirt - You can't go wrong with this, just top it off with the right blazer or blouse.
3. Dark Denim Jeans - Very versatile since you can dress these up or down with the latest top or blazer.
4. Classic Black Pants - Choose from an array of colorful tops or match it up with a trendy blazer.
5. Tailored Blazer (white and black) - This will help add dimension and structure to a pair of pants or a skirt.
6. Plain White Tee - Wear this with a pair of jeans or that hot blazer.
7. Tailored Suit (skirt or pants) - This will help take your professional look to the next level.
8. Ballet Flats - Allows you to be comfy but cute with the perfect outfit.
9. Cami's (nude and colors) - These are great for your suits and blazers.
10. Classic Coat - Tie on that printed silk scarf or a belt (if needed) and add a little more style to your look.
11. Black Pumps - It's an essential part of your wardrobe so just add a pop of color to your outfit.
12. Crisp White Shirt (or Blouse) - This never goes out of style. You can team this up with almost anything and look sharp.
